On Friday, I braved some snowy roads and was thrilled to make it to South Twin Lake. South Twin is up at a high elevation and is unaccessible for the winter. I think I am the first person to hike around the lake since the access roads were closed in the Fall. The lake is incredibly peaceful, especially when I am the only human for miles around it.
